Privacy
In short: we collect only what we need to answer your request and write your scoping document. We do not send your request, quote or details to contractors, and we do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to data brokers, marketers or ad networks.

What we collect
What you send us
When you send the scoping form, we collect what you enter:
- Contact details: your name, email address and, if you give it, your phone number.
- The job: the ZIP code of the house, its size or number of stories, the surfaces to paint, the prep and repair you know about, anything else you write about the job, your timing, and the scope checklist.
The scope checklist runs in your browser. What you tick is sent to us only when you send the scoping form. Quotes and job descriptions sent on finalist.cc are covered by the finalist.cc privacy page.
Server logs
When your browser loads the site, standard access logs record your IP address, browser, the page requested, the response code and the time. We keep them for reliability, performance and security.
How we use it
- To read your request and reply by email with a scoping document or questions.
- To keep spam and abuse off the site.
- To meet our obligations under state and federal law.
We do not sell personal information, or send it to contractors
We have never sold, rented or traded personal information to data brokers, ad networks or lead sellers. We do not send your request, your quote or your details to painters or other contractors, and we take no payment from contractors for referrals.
Who else handles it
- Google Cloud and Firebase host the site and store form submissions in the United States.
- Our Landmen LLC. We receive what you send, and may keep a copy in our own email and lead records.
The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or ad scripts. Its typefaces are served from this site, not from a third party.
Your choices
You can ask us to:
- Know and access: tell you whether we hold your personal data, and give you a copy.
- Correct: fix personal data that is wrong.
- Delete: delete the personal information you gave us.
Email hello@housepainting.directory with “Privacy request” in the subject. We may need to confirm the request comes from you first. We handle these requests as the law where you live requires.
Keeping it safe, and for how long
Data moves over TLS (HTTPS) and is encrypted at rest (AES-256). We keep a request only as long as we may need it to follow up or to meet legal obligations.
